Sri Lanka pledges to play one-day matches in Pakistan
Colombo (Urdu point latest newspaper - 22 August 2019) Sri Lanka pledges to play one-day matches in Pakistan According to Sri Lankan media reports, Minister for Sports Haren Fur Nando said he could not send his team to Pakistan to play a Test match, but we are planning to play three ODIs in Pakistan.
It should be remembered that since the terrorist attack on Sri Lankan team in March 2009, the UAE team has remained a groundbreaking ground. Recently, a four-member delegation of SLC came to Pakistan under the chairmanship of Mohan de Silva, Secretary of the Board, to assess the security situation.
The delegation visited Karachi, Lahore and Nawaz, hotels and various routes.
Pakistan offered Sri Lanka two Test matches to be played in Lahore and Karachi, keeping in mind that the said Test series will be part of the ICC World Test Championship. The series between Pakistan and Sri Lanka is scheduled in two phases, the first phase involves two test matches in October and a series of T20 matches, followed by a one-day series in December.
